Oyster and Wine Tasting
May 30th
5 to 7pm - Open Seating. Guests should feel free to stop in for the tasting anytime between 5 and 7pm.
Bourbon House, Second Floor
$15 inclusive
To kick off the celebration of the third annual New Orleans Oyster Festival, Bourbon House will once again host its Wine & Gulf Coast Oyster Pairing Event on Wednesday, May 30th.
Upon arrival, guests will receive a half dozen oysters on the halfshell and five tasting portions of different white wine varietals. In a blind taste test (wines will only be identified through numbers), guests will be charged with the task of determining the best pairing for our region's cherished oyster. At the end of the evening, the votes will be tallied and we'll announce the wines that were tasted, selecting a "People's Choice" award for the best pairing. The results will also be posted on our blog, www.chefslagniappe.com.
The cost of the event is $15 inclusive and guests are encouraged to make reservations. The tasting will be held on the second floor of Bourbon House, in the private dining rooms overlooking the restaurant. Guests seeking to enjoy additional wine, oysters and seafood following the tasting will be accommodated in the main dining room or the cafe.
