High West Distillery Bourbon & Rye Tasting Event
Reservations - 504.274.1815
Bourbon House and the New Orleans Bourbon Society are thrilled to welcome Distiller David Perkins from High West Distillery & Saloon. David Perkins will guide you through a tasting from Utah's first distillery since the 1870s. Their passion for the great American West and love of whiskey have created an interesting and varied portfolio of small-batch bourbons and ryes. If the whiskey alone isn't enough, Beverage Director Barry Himel has crafted cocktails and Executive Chef Darin Nesbit has created a delicious hors d'oeuvre/tasting menu to complement the flavors of High West Whiskey.

We had two judging pools; People's Choice and Expert's Choice. Our Expert judges consisted of Actor Bryan Batt, Writer Pableaux Johnson, Food Editors Jyl Benson and Daniel Schumacher and Food Activist and Radio Personality Poppy Tooker. The Experts selected wine number 5, the Albarino as the best pairing.
People's Choice went to wine number 1, a Northern Italian blended wine.
A big thank you to all of our participants!
